My “why”

I’ve explored different paths throughout my career, trusting that the dots would eventually connect. Over the years, I’ve worked in editorial and copywriting, beauty and fashion PR, assisted on an NHS mental health ward, and supported organisations in the charity sector. The idea of pursuing one job always felt outdated to me. Instead, I focused on expanding my skillset, taking opportunities that offered lessons I couldn’t learn through a conventional career path.

Spoiler: nothing ever fully clicked. My curiosity always got the better of me, and the connection between mind and body intrigued me most. It led me back to university to study a master’s in psychology and even inspired me to start a podcast, where I interviewed academics to explore its intricacies. What I’ve learned has stuck with me: mental health challenges often manifest physically, just as physical illness can stem from stress and burnout. Taking care of both mind and body isn’t just important—it’s essential. Connection and self-care are core human needs, and they form the foundation of everything I offer.

Losing my mum at 13 shaped my perspective in ways I didn’t fully recognise until recently. Growing up with a parent who had a terminal illness teaches you not to take health for granted. Personally, I’ve also struggled with feeling out of sync with my body. Being coeliac has taught me the importance of prioritising your health before your body forces you to. Most of us don’t value our health until it’s gone, but it really is our greatest asset.

So, how has this influenced what I do? I think we can learn so much from the body—how it holds onto stress, how it responds to care, and how releasing tension can create self-awareness. Since setting out on my own, I’ve reinvested every penny into mastering bodywork. Over the past five years, I’ve cherry picked the best training, refining my techniques to offer treatments that create a sense of calm amidst the noise of modern life. Book a session here.
